Our scholarship program is designed to support students who not only excel academically but also embody the values of the ARC way—respect, responsibility, and resilience. Through scholarships and financial assistance, we aim to ensure that every student has the opportunity to thrive, regardless of their circumstances. We expect our scholarship recipients to be role models—students who lead by example, contribute meaningfully to the classroom, and enrich the school’s intellectual, spiritual, and cultural life through co-curricular involvement. Academic Excellence Scholarship

The Academic Excellence Scholarship is awarded annually to students in Years 4 to 10 who have demonstrated outstanding academic performance, significant improvement and adherence to the ARC way throughout the academic year.

Purpose

This scholarship aims to recognise and reward students who have achieved the highest academic results in their year level, while also acknowledging those who have shown exceptional academic growth and dedication to their studies.

Eligibility

• To be eligible for the Academic Excellence Scholarship, students must meet a minimum of three eligibility criteria.
• Be enrolled in Years 5 to 11 in the following academic year at Arrahman College.
• Principal’s Award Recipient in the current academic year and Top Student identified by the Selection Committee.
• Demonstrate notable academic improvement over the year.
• Exhibit a positive attitude toward learning and contribute constructively to the classroom environment and adherence to the ARC way.

Scholarship Value

• Up to seven half scholarships (one per year level) are awarded as a monetary contribution toward tuition fees for the following academic year.
• The scholarship amount is determined annually and may vary depending on tuition fees for the year.
• The scholarship value is a 50% discount on tuition fees for the following academic year.
• The awarded amount will be distributed equally across all college terms within the 12-month scholarship period.
• Scholarships do not cover additional costs such as uniforms, textbooks, stationery, electronic devices, or extracurricular expenses.

Application Process

Eligible interested applicants will apply via online portal using the appropriate Scholarship Application Form along with detailed instructions and a list of required documents.
• All applicants must submit applications before 21 November.
• Final decisions are made by the Selection Committee by 26 January.
• Academic performance is assessed based on internal assessments, reports, and teacher evaluations.
• The Selection Committee, comprising the Principal and relevant teaching staff, will review academic data and determine the scholarship recipients.
• Final decisions are made by the Principal.

Deadlines and Notifications

• Recipients will be announced at the beginning of the following academic year.
• Scholarship discounts will be automatically applied to tuition fees in the following academic year.

Academic Merit Scholarship

The Academic Merit Scholarship is awarded annually to students in Years 4 to 10 who have demonstrated distinguished academic performance, significant improvement throughout the academic year and adherence to the ARC way throughout the academic year.

Purpose

This scholarship aims to recognise and reward students who have achieved high academic results in their year level, while also acknowledging those who have shown exceptional academic growth and dedication to their studies.

Eligibility

To be eligible for the Academic Merit Scholarship, students must meet a minimum of three eligibility criteria.
• Be currently enrolled in Years 5 to 11 in the following academic year at Arrahman College.
• Principal’s Award Recipient in the current academic year.
• Demonstrate notable academic improvement over the year.
• Exhibit a positive attitude toward learning and contribute constructively to the classroom environment and adherence to the ARC way.

Education Assistance Bursary

The Education Assistance Bursary is awarded on a case-by-case basis to currently enrolled students at Arrahman College. It is designed to support families experiencing financial hardship due to changes in personal or economic circumstances, ensuring that students can continue their education uninterrupted.

Purpose

The purpose of the Education Assistance Bursary is to provide financial relief to families in need, allowing students to remain enrolled at Arrahman College during times of financial difficulty. This bursary reflects the school’s commitment to equity, compassion, and educational continuity.

Eligibility

To be eligible for the Education Assistance Bursary, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be currently enrolled at Arrahman College in any year level.
  • Have completed at least two terms of study.
  • Demonstrate financial hardship due to changes in family circumstances.
  • Submit a formal application with supporting documentation.

Assessment Process

All bursary applications are means-tested and reviewed on a case-by-case basis. The assessment process includes:

  • Submission of a completed bursary application form (Appendix 2)
  • Review of financial documentation and personal statements which may include but not limited to copies of income tax returns, statement of assets, liabilities, income and expenditure, bank statements for last three years.
  • Consultation between the Principal, Business Manager, and the Board (if required).
  • Parents/guardians will be required to sign a letter of acceptance and acknowledgement agreeing to the conditions of the bursary and conditions of enrolment.
  • Final decision made at the Principal’s discretion.

Bursary Value

The value of the bursary is assessed based on demonstrated financial need and the availability of funding. Bursaries may be awarded to cover either a partial or full reduction in tuition fees, for a maximum duration of one academic year. Final decisions are made at the discretion of the Principal and Business Manager.

Bursary awards are offered in the following tiers:

  • Tier 1 – 30% Tuition Fee Reduction
  • Tier 2 – 50% Tuition Fee Reduction
  • Tier 3 – 75% Tuition Fee Reduction
  • Tier 4 – 100% Tuition Fee Reduction

Confidentiality

All bursary applications and decisions are treated with strict confidentiality. Information provided during the application process will only be shared with relevant staff involved in the assessment and approval process.
